All The Info You Need To Know In Order To Play

How To Play:

Tres (3) Card Poker is played with a single 52-card deck and is 2 games in one. First, the Play/Ante game, this allows players to wager against the dealer to see who has the highest hand. Second, the Pair + game allows players to wager on whether they will be dealt a Pair or better.

The Bet & Deal:

The Pair + is the space where you can place bets for the Pair + game. Below it is two spaces for the “main” game, one labeled "Ante" and another labeled "Play". The game begins when you place a wager on the Ante and/or the Pair + space, they both need to equal to the table minimum. You must place a bet on the Ante to play the game, you can put a bet on the Pairs + if you choose too, this is an optional bet. The dealer will give each participating player a three-card hand, after all players have placed their wagers. Both the dealer and the players are dealt three cards.

The player looks at their cards and decides if they want to Play or Fold. After viewing the hand, the player can decide to fold or play on. If the player is not happy with the hand, they can fold and they lose their wager. However, if the player chooses to continue, they must “call” and place an additional bet on the Play space, equivalent to the Ante wager. At this point the player places their 3 cards (face down) on the play space and places their Play bet on top of the cards. If the player chooses to fold, they lose their Ante and Pairs + bet.

Comparing Hands:

The dealer will reveal his three cards after the players have made their decision on their hand. If the dealer has a high card queen or better, he automatically "qualifies" his hand, you and they will “Play”. The dealer will reveal your hand, you do not touch your cards or wagers after you have placed them in the play position. You win even money on your Play

and Ante bets if you beat the dealer’s hand. However, if the dealer's hand does not contain a queen or better, then all players (who did not fold) will have their Play bet returned to them and win even money for their Ante wager.

Ante Bonus:

You will get a bonus payout for holding certain hands when playing the Ante bet. You do not have to place an additional bet to participate. You’ll receive a bonus when you have a straight, three of a kind, or a straight flush. The bonus amount will depend on the pay table values for your specific table.

Pair & Bet:

This is based on whether the player has a pair or better in their hand, regardless of whether they beat the dealer, remember, Pairs + is a separate game within the Play/Ante game. If the player has a Pair or better, they win; if not, they lose-it's that simple.
