Jackpot Casino Events has been providing entertainment in the Northeast United States for over 27 years. The business has remained consistent with first class service, earning for itself a loyal customer following, who come back year after year for casino parties in various locations around our area!

The business has just started with its third generation of owners and in moving forward, we look forward to continuing the tradition of providing first class service to each and every one of our clients. It is our pledge that we will maintain the quality standards started by our founder and continued by the second generation of owners. We pledge to maintain the same top quality service that was set by the previous owners, and expected by our long-standing clients, to ensure the continued success of the company and growth of our reputation for having the highest quality casino party events in the Tri-State area!

Kathy Deissler Owner, Jackpot Casino Events

Kathy Deissler is the third and current owner of Jackpot Casino Events, she acquired the business in October 2023. She worked with Steve Cuzner for months, learning the business, utilizing and translating her many years of customer service, sales, marketing and training skills to the casino party business. The acquisition is set up so that Steve will remain a mentor to ensure the success of Kathy and the business. Steve will see his legacy succeed and grow for many years to come. He and his late wife, Robin, spent over 23 years building the business to the success that it is now & Steve is committed to it remaining a first class business that remains viable for their clients, well into the future.

Kathy has over 30 years experience in customer service and sales in various industries. She has relevant experience in corporate marketing & training, that will assist in maintaining, as well as expanding, parts of the business. She has a masters in Human Resources Management, and has led, managed and trained teams of well over 100 people in her long career.

All of her experience in managing, marketing, customer service and training has already shown to translate very well to the new business and she is guaranteeing continued success and top tier entertainment for an unique client experience with Jackpot Casino Events.

Robin & Steve Cuzner, acquired the business in January 2000, they were the most recent owners, up until Steve sold the business to Kathy in October 2023. They had acquired the business and grew it into a full time venture. They were running well over 100 casino party events each year, which they increased from a part time business, when acquired.

They worked as dealers for the founding owner for approximately 2 years, prior to acquiring Jackpot Casino Events. They started with about 13 tables, when they purchased the business and equipment, and grew it into over 40 tables, 2 wheels, and 10 slot machines. This was quite a large increase in inventory, which was necessary to fulfill the needs of their long standing repeat clients.

The following of clients they built is a testament of their focus in hosting quality events. This was assisted by a large team of people, the skilled dealers, who entertained the  clients and their guests with professionalism and knowledge. Robin and Steve have amassed an organization of over 40 skilled dealers that can be relied on to make each night a success. They consistently provided a true casino experience to every client, at all the events they’ve hosted. You will find Steve dealing at most of our events and he continues working full time in a customer service and sales capacity, by working one on one with his clients as a Realtor.

Ronald Schaeffer Founder, Jackpot Casino Events

Ronald Schaeffer, the original owner, started Jackpot Casino Events in 1997 as a part-time business. He created the business as a way to provide quality entertainment while trying to expand his passion as a professional magician. Ron has been fascinated with magic since he was a child and has continued to grow in the skill. He grew Jackpot Casino Events for 2 years and averaged about 30-40 events each year with about 13 tables in his inventory, most of which he fabricated himself.

He brought on 2 new dealers in early 1998, Steve & Robin Cuzner. They helped with weekly events and became very familiar with the business and developed a liking for providing the casino entertainment for clients. Over those 2 years, interest for Ron changed and his focus on his magic came to the forefront, he chose to prioritize his magic as his main source of entertainment and sold the business to Steve & Robin Cuzner.

 

This is a snap shot and summary of a well established business from the small town of Reading PA.  There are so many stories over the 27 year history, it could fill a novel.  Thank you for taking the time to read the history of Jackpot Casino Events!  We hope to see you at our next event.
